Well friends, if you used to follow my blog, then you know I struggled with keeping it up. At first I blogged daily. Then a few times per week. Then it got so spaced out, I felt kinda bad. Eventually I made the decision to just quit cold turkey. Too many things to keep up with that blogging felt like an unnecessary ball to juggle! It was a bit of a relief honestly. It was nice to just not worry about it all. Not feel guilty for not posting. Not think, "I better grab my camera" every time I went to do something remotely creative!
But if I'm being open here, I did kinda miss it! It was a fun community of fellow bloggers and readers that were so validating and reassuring. It's nice to get recognition for your hard work, creativity and for all the little things that go into creating a "home" out of your house. Blogging helped me stick to tasks, get projects completed and created interactions with like minded people internationally.
Over the past 3 and half years I haven't blogged - with the exception of one post, informing my little audience that I was done with it all. I did make it clear that I might come back though. I often thought about it. My house actually looks like a different home since you've seen it last. Several projects in the last few years have kept me busy, however I didn't photograph them along the way with the intent of sharing.
However, we've recently sold this home and are moving to a new place! A great home with a great location and lovely footprint. It's just really in need of an overhaul! I can't wait. I kinda thought I was done with big reno's but I'm actually looking forward to it! I also have a slower work season coming up (wedding photographer) so I'll have more time on my hands! My husband and I have allotted some dedicated renovation time and money, so I got to thinking, this might just be a great recipe for blogging again!
Soooooo, we move in May 15th and all the crazy chaos of renovations will begin! I'm not promising a perfect schedule of postings, but I promise to post a couple times per week to keep you all in the loop! It's gonna be fun!
p.s. thanks so much for all the sweet words and pleas i've received over the last few years, asking me to return to blogging. So sweet to think you guys missed me!
