Hi again!

Oh my gosh, I don't know where to start!  Years ago, I started this blog!  I had some good success with it reaching tons of people and serving as a true creative outlet for me at the time!  I truly loved doing it.  But, at the time, I was also running an almost full time wedding photography business, renovating a home, and had three busy kids.  I just couldn't keep up with everything.  I decided to let it go and focus on the more concrete - necessary - avenues of life.  It was the right decision at the time.

Years later, we were moving into a new house and I got the creative itch to document and share our renovation process.  Thought of blogging again.  Started and only lasted a few months :(  My head just wasn't in the right space anymore.  So left it yet again.

Cut to last spring.  I was feeling inspired with some home projects and felt it might be fun to start an instagram account - so as not to bore my friends and family on my personal feed.  I didn't advertise to anyone I was doing so.  Just quietly posted here and there.  Then I started tossing around the idea of blogging - AGAIN.  I logged in to this site again and started poking around it.  Checking out my stats and re-reading old posts.  I was worried no one would bother looking at this old site, as everyone is on to new and beautiful website platforms.  So, I thought, what the heck?  Make a switch.  So I started up a blog, with a new name, thinking I had to freshen my online vibe and I started blogging again!  But guess what - no one wanted to read it, haha!  I put a lot of work into what I thought was decent content, great photos, and tons of step by step tutorials, etc.  After about 7 or 8 months, I decided to delete the new blog.  I felt it was weird pressure to have to gain a huge amount of traffic soon in order to justify the monthly fees it incurred.

SO.....here I am again at the good ol blogger blog!  It's free for me to use and I've never spent a single penny on it.  Because it's old, I have a lot of photos and links deep in Pinterest that have kept a shockingly steady flow of visitors to this little blog for years.  Even, without any new content.  I love that whether I'm posting tons or not at all, it doesn't cost me.  If I didn't post for a month, I don't feel guilty that I'm throwing money out the window.

Blogging for me has to be driven by the need to be create and share.  Simple as that.  If opportunities arise to have sponsors, or advertisers, or some cool partnerships - that's awesome.  But that can't be my goal.  I've decided there was a good reason I never deleted this blog over the years!  I've just put it on the back burner countless times.  However, I'm here to say, that I still find the need to make and create, and I love this little space in the universe to share it!

Here's a few looks at what's been happening in my world, as of the last couple years!

There's just a taste of 3 rooms in our new house!  I'd like to think my style has evolved a bit over the years, so things are a little more subdued and serene.  I'm sure that's also a reflection of design trends as well.  Either way, I'm happy to continue to create, renovate, and share if I still have anyone who wants to listen!  I've got lots more to share, so stay tuned friends :)

I don't have an immediate blogging schedule that I'm ready to commit to, so best to follow me on instagram to keep up with what's going on in my lil world!

I'd appreciate the follow more than I can express :)

Over the past few months, I've had a few instagram followers reach out to me and express how they're happy they found me again and glad to see I haven't left "sharing!"  Seriously, it's so sweet to hear!

I'm hoping that the reason I found an audience way back when is because I'm just like everyone who reads my blog.  Just trying to make a home out of a house.  Trying to diy and reno my way to a beautiful end result - that didn't break the bank.  So if that sounds like you, then follow me again!
